So I am posting 3 projects to make up for the lack of paper projects on my blog...

Some Inque Boutiqe, Jenni bowlin, American Crafts, SEI, Heidi Grace and Copic markers.

I wanted to let you know I have decided to give some extra time for those wanting to get their name in. I am going to do the drawing around 1200 on Saturday. Thanks for all you that have stopped by my blog... Hope to see you come around again.

For my Friday Question...

Where does the time go???

Oh my goodness.
Is it really Thursday???
WOW!

I will post this brief question and promise to be back later with a few creations...

Are you a scrapbooker, an altered atrist, or a cardmaker? If so how do you define your style? Shabby, modern, eclectic, simple, edgy? Feel free to post a link to your gallery.

Busy day....

Well I was gone all day today in training and feel so bad for not posting before I left... I do have to say I am surprised at the number of people that have stopped by to visit me.... I see a few friend may have let out my secret ;) I know you are all excited for the punch... It is super cool that is for sure.

I am hoping to post some new projects tomorrow and a couple I did with the punch.... Until then Here is a little brag book I did that was pretty simple but sweet...I think. Papers are from the Paper Salon First Blush Collection.

Don't forget to get you name entered all you do is answer my "get to know you questions" through out this week. A winner will be announced on Saturday. Here goes, in two parts.

What part of the world/country are you from??? AND What is one thing other viewers of this blog may not know about that part of the world/country or What is the one thing you must visit or do when someone comes to visit your area?

I will answer this question for all of those visiting. I am in A suburbs of the Twin cities in MN. The Minneapolis/St. Paul area. We are called the land of 10,000 lakes but officially have well over 11,000. Our State bird is the Mosquito... just kiddin ;) We are home to the Mall of America which holds the Nickolodeon Theme park. We have no tax on clothing. Very Nice perk. Mn was the first state to have an indoor mall. It was Southdale Mall which still exsists today. Where I live I am 2 minutes from farms, 5 minutes from multiple nature preserves and Regional parks and 10 minutes from Museums and Theatres. I feel very blessed.... Oh yes and I also have snowy Easter's...ugh.

I was lucky enough to score a few of the new Fiskars Scallop punches called Threading Water. Can I say this punch is so awesome. I so love this punch and I thought, as a great way to Start off blogging right, I would hold an" Open House " of Sorts... I am finally getting things figured out here and my blog is now officially 2 weeks old.
So here is how it will work... The Open House will start this weekend. There will be a drawing at the end of the open house One week to the minute after it starts, and one lucky winner will get this punch 'on me'. Each day of the Open house I will pose a question and your name will be entered x1 for each question answered. I look forward to getting to know you all a bit better.

Keep our eyes peeled for the Celebration to begin...

A fun little Easter Card

This Little Easter Card I made a while back but still love it. It uses the Paper Salon Blossom Collection... A favorite of mine. I t also uses their stamps. I used and adhesive Stamp Pad to stamp the flower and then added a bit of glitter. I pinned back the corner and stamped the sentiment so It could be seen. If you wanted a bit more texture some fun ribbon could easily be added.

Want to know where to find these papers??? I know just the place. I happened to be at Emma's Paperie and saw Cindy got these great papers in stock... If you have not been there check her out she has the greatest stuff for gift making... I love popping in to see what new clever things she has found.

Recall

I so love that our mind gives us the ability to recall...
As My friends are returning today from some of the same places I visited over the New Year I am trying to put myself there in a moment of reflection....
It was so glorious...
Stunning....
Beautiful....
Warm.........
God's Country...
I've never seen any place like it...
My favorites were Tortolla and Puerto Rico... Ahhhhh So hope I can go back again some day soon. Maybe I will update tomorrow with a few photos of some of my favorite doors in Puerto Rico... I was only there for 1/2 a day but I KNOW I NEED to go back!

A quick Easter Project

This project was a fun one I did for Crafts N' Things Magazine. If you have not had the chance to check them out... you really should. I am Lucky and get the opportunity to work with Dawn And Abby there once and a while and let me tell you, They put out a great magazine for all crafters not just Scrappers or stampers... so you learn things maybe you could incorporate into some of your other crafts as well.

It was to appear in the magazine but it was so bursting at the seams this month they loaded the website with a bunch of great free projects... Check them out! Here is the write up on these eggs here: http://www.craftsnthings.com/Projects/BonusProjects/200804/eggs.pdf
If you lay out a bunch of newspapers your kids with enough decopage and time could do these as well...

Growing up and other stuff

So Thursday was the big day for my little guy...

He went and got himself some braces. Let me tell ya that was much harder for me than it was for him... I made sure to let him know just because he has braces there will be no late nights or keys to the car anytime soon. Unreal how to me the braces have aged him so. So far all is good... No big complaints of pain and we are on the 3rd night, so I have been told that is good. You see... I have never had braces nor anyone in my family so this whole thing is new to me... He has been a great sport I tell ya!

Next I have been tagged by my dear friend Anabelle...
7 random things...

So hear goes.

1. I am a Navy Brat (kinda)
My dad is retired Navy however we did not move around like most had to. We were lucky, in a sense. Dad did all the moving and commuting back an forth so we could have a stable home life...
Poor Mom had a full plate. Thanks to both of them for all they sacrificed for us.

2. I ride An old fashioned up right bike and have been on occasion been called Mary Poppins by some of the men in the neighbor hood... Hmph... I do not have a basket so I see no resemblance. :)

3. I love to tile... Yep I tile floors, back splashes, inlays, and next up is My entire bathroom. 18" Travertine is bought and stacked in my garage awaiting my ambition to arrive....

4. I also love to paint and plaster. I have many variations of paint and wall techniques in my home and I am always up for trying something new... Next up my Boys new room. The paint should be hitting the walls there, next weekend. Before the Easter bunny arrives of course.

5. I love garage sales. I am not an organized person to throw a garage sale but I still manage to do one every year... I love it. I love getting rid of the things you know you will never use. What I do not sell I try to give to families I know will use it. Please remind me of this post if I start to complain while prepping for the next sale ;)

6. I share the same birthday with My dad... What a Lucky guy he was that year to have me as his birthday present... Tee hee hee.

7. Speaking of all this Luck... I am IRISH. Today Is officially St. Patrick's Day. You are not supposed to celebrate St. Patty's Day on Monday because it is Easter Monday. (holy week) So the good Irish are celebrating today... The REAL Irish will be celebrating today, tomorrow and MONDAY! So Cheers to all of ya!

Since I am so new at this blogging thing I am not sure if anyone even know this little blog is here yet... If you stop by say HI

What makes me smile...

During the most difficult of times there are 2 things for certain, my boys always know how to make me smile, how to take my mind off of what ever has me down, if even for a moment. The next few days I'll be away form the board and I will have these two pictures to reflect upon...

They are "Self Portraits" done by these two amazing young boys I have... These pictures say so much about them... so many stories could be told through the eyes of these images... My heart giggles just listening to them try and explain, though they should not have to, as I have some pretty good ideas of my own...
So lucky to have them in my life....

Nicholas the one with bundled up energy, and Jacob the listener taking it all in... and I do mean ALL. I try to let them know How much I appreciate them and love them. I try to encourage them to be true to themselves and still guide them into being wonderful people when they grow up.
You are both such great little boys. I sure am lucky to call you mine. ;)

As the sun sets...

As the sun sets it sheds a new light upon everything...
Here is a card I recently made using Paper Salon's new Winter CHA release and a photo. It seems photo cards are becoming all the trend so I felt this photo was perfect. I snapped this image in California this past September at my lil' brothers wedding. This was the bridge going over Mission bay...

Favorite Places

This Layout is not using the most current products, but I still love it. I used October Afternoon Stamps and a bit of Scenic Route. It is a photo of me and my boys at one of our favorite places on the River. Share with me your favorite place.

Day two... Still figuring this blogging thing out.

So I am still trying to figure out lots of the things I want to do, but I suppose it all comes in time.

Here is another card I did with the copic markers and Prima paintables. I love the versatility of these papers so many things you can do, endless combinations of colors... and using the copics makes the cards just POP!!! They are so vibrant! I was introduced to them by friend Kim Hughes and the Pro Ellen Hutson. Thanks ladies I will never turn back now, these markers are are an investment but well worth it.

First Post

Okay so I have contemplated this fo a very long time and I have finally decided to do this.

Over the next few days I am going to try and get things updated... So there is actually something to come and see.

I do want to share a project I recently did using the fabulous copic markers and Prima water color papers. I have always loved to color since I was a kid and this was the perfect outlet for me to be creative this past week....
