True Friends

So lucky...

Things have been a bit rough lately, most recently I had  some things going on that required me to be in the hospital. All is well now and I am on the mend but during time of being down you learn who your friends are. Those that really care... Sometimes you are surprised by what you learn...

This past week two dear friends sent this bouquet to me, and it meant than my friends will ever know. The petals of the rose represent the many layers the friendships have taken on over the years and how I could never give them up. Thanks so much  you guys; for everything.

This CPS card this week fits how I feel perfectly.

Mom and the boys are....Growing up

As the boys are growing I am growing too. DH got this for me. My minivan was on it's last leg and we needed something else we had looked for a long time. The right deal the right time never came... Until this one. Timing was right. It is everything I could ask for and so much more...

She is gently used... Oh so pretty and peppy too.

Here are 2 pics of the boys... Man are they growing. Scary how much.
I still find it funny how hard it is for them to smile with braces... J does not know Really what to do with himself in front of the camera lately... I keep encouraging him to just relax... He is so darn cute and sweet... How did one mom get so lucky?

N on the other hand... When He relaxes, well, watch out! Those eyes...Whew.
His heart is as bright as his eyes... So very, very fortunate!

I think I may be in trouble with these two.

Two years... Wow

I cannot believe it has been 2 years since my friend/Mother in law passed away. Life is so different in the family now. The family does not feel as one unit but as many little functioning components.

Some have moved on and others have yet to grieve. Her spirit was one that is irreplaceable. Infectious, joyful, loving and giving. She never thought of herself but everyone else was not only thought of but prayed for, pampered, and treated with the most respect.

I miss her. I miss my friend. I miss how smooth everything ran before she got sick. I miss the family that we once had.

I am moving forward... but it is hard. Almost impossible really. My kids were her only grandchildren, my husband was her oldest son, and her and I were very dear friends... that is over. 2 years have flown buy. It is time to move forward. Day by day.

So with that I will figure out this new computer. Still trying to upload and attach an such. Still trying to set up new favorites and links as mine are all gone.  Hopefully by tomorrow...

Much to share!!

Finally on line again....

I know I have been MIA...
Lot's going on...
I am looking forward to being back here on a regular basis.   Just finally got online for the first time in over a week.  This MAC thing is hard to get used to... IT arrived today and it took me a LONG time to get online.  I need to get a card reader for my memory card as my last PC had an internal reader. I will try and post a few projects and a pic of this new toy.

I signed up for lessons. So I am going to try an hour a week until I get the hang of it all....

Be back soon... I promise.

sorry....

This one word can make the biggest difference...if you mean it. I remember the days of "Happy Days" when Fonzie could not say he was sorry. It was so hard for that powerful word to come out of his mouth. Well I got thinking.

My DH had a funeral to attend this week and I realized I did not have a sympathy card. That and "I'm Sorry" cards are one I tend not to make very often... I guess I just hope I do not have to use them. So I put together list of some of the cards I should have around and that is what I am going to try to work on...

Besides Birthday cards and Congratulations what cards do you keep on hand??? I'd love to know.

Saturday Sunset

A dear friend invited me to her place to get away... We headed up on Friday evening and came back this afternoon. Last night the sunset was amazing. I had to pull the camera out. The colors seem almost painted . I really think God was speaking through this sunset. It was just so powerfully peaceful. Ittook my breathe away, I hope you enjoy the images too.

More testing, more waiting, more Layouts

Today...
Well I went to work...had a meeting.
Decided I need to go back. I miss it. Is that crazy?

I think the insanity of that place make my insanely crazy life right now seem somewhat, well, Calm. So back to work I go this coming Friday. We will see how it all goes. One day at a time. Right?

Went to the Doctor later this am he got me in a bit earlier, scheduled a mammogram, then they called with a cancelation this afternoon ( what the heck is the big deal anyway ? ) I was so nervous because of all the 'bad press' that they get. It was not nearly as bad as I expected. But hey, I have been through a lot. Also had an ultrasound, more labs done, records copied, more referrals made... Which means more Appointments. I feel good. I feel like next week I will get answers. Lots of answers.
I
n the mean time...

Here is a layout of me and the boys last October. I SO adore this picture. This day...was my day. I got to pick it. Whatever I wanted to do. So we did an attempt at fall colors and I loved each and every moment withhese little guys. I feel so grateful for these two... They make me smile. They also make me a littel crazy...but that is what little boys are for right?

Not sure what got into me...

So As I stated Yesterday... I do not do Layouts... It is not that I do not have enough pictures...I do I just do not feel very confidents In making them or the end result...

So I was pleased...
Pleased with how these turned out.
Nothing Fancy.
Not tons of embellishment.
But it works, for me.
And I like that.

I think Playing with all the Making Memoires Products really inspired me. I pulled it all out and it just spoke to me. I really have loved everything I have created over the past few days and I have created a lot. 95% of wich was Making Memories products.

This Layout I did of my Son Jacob riding the 4-wheeler he got at Christmas... Yikes it scares me...But then again he rides smart and careful. It is his brother that really scares me ;)

I have 2 other Layouts to post so I will get them up over the next few days.

Took some creative time

This weekend I took a bit of creative time. The kids are out of school now and the weather was kinda cruddy so it kept me sane and the kids hung out and played games and watched movies. I am still not up to par and am awaiting answers on things but playing with paper somehow makes me calm. Not being creative was making me feel even worse. So I created. A lot.

3 layouts 2 of which I am ready to share. One more on the way. I do not make Layouts like I wish I would so this is a big deal for me...Be kind.

First up is Nicholas...
This picture was captured at the top of a very steep ravine. He was on a little step bridge looking down and was SO excited to hike down. Of course not realizing the hike up was not going to be fun. I take an annual trip with the boys just us each fall and this was one of our newly discovered spots.

It has been a while since I have felt creative or inspired.

Back to the Doctor this week. Hoping for more answers. Will be back soon.

I have not been playing with Paper like I love to lately

I wanted to start by sharing...Pieces of me...
My loved ones who make every day worth fighting for...No matter how hard...no matter how much one wanted to give up. I have them all, and all of that LOVE matters...

So many things...Mostly medical things... Have kept me far from the friends I love in this industry. The last couple of years have been awful... Man I knew I should have written a book... But Lately, well.... Lately things have been almost rcok bottom. I have been kept from committments, and procrastinated deadlines and pushed them to limis because I have felt to unwell... and then the chatting and the relationships I so endeared a.. seem to have faded away... Even my love fro creating has been silenced a bit. I love most creating. I have recently applied for a LOA from my full time real job as an RN to deal with what is going on. I dreaded doing it but I have been having a hard time for many months, part of this weekend I was hospitalized and it has gotten the best of me. When It rains it pours and I am in the middle of a 'Severe Weather Warning' I hope it subsides and I can pick up where I have left off... For some you you it may be easy...For others... The bad weather may have scared you off...and I understand. There is at this point not so much more I could do, I wish I was super woman and could do it all....But I now know....I am not...not at all. My energy is weak and I am at there mercy of asking others for help. Projects I start rarely get finished...And that is no like me.
I will be here In whatever capacity when I come back and Hope you will be too. I am hoping for weekly or bimonthly blog updates until the hail stops pounding and the debris clears.

Thanks so much to all of my supporters, my friends, the editors and all of those I have worked with........The relationships Ihave built will always be treasured, never forgotten and cherished forever.

If you need me...email me or call me on my cell phone.
Thanks again...
God Bless.
